Sysmex XN 350
Sysmex Corporation. Japan

Automated 6-diff hematology analyzer
Automated 6-diff hematology analyzer with manual open-tube sampling, capable of analyzing reticulocytes and body fluids.
Complete blood count, including white blood cell differential and reticulocyte analysis, from 25 µL of EDTA whole blood
Ensures the standardization of cytological examination of body fluids, including cerebrospinal fluid.
Allows for the analysis of a sample for more than 70 different hematological parameters.
DESIGNED FOR VERSATILITY
The diagnostic capabilities of the XN-350 analyzer can be expanded by adding reticulocyte analysis (RET license, optional) and/or body fluid analysis (BF license, optional) to the base model.
The analyzer adapts its measurement process to the characteristics of the sample: if a low white blood cell count is detected, a special measurement mode for leukopenic samples (L-WBC license, optional) can be activated; if signs of an "aged" sample are detected, a special "AGED SAMPLE IDENTIFIER" mode (optional) can be automatically engaged.
The analyzer's throughput can be increased to 70 samples/h (Speed-up license, optional).
The leukocyte count, differential leukocyte count, and assessment of reticulocyte parameters are performed using the method of fluorescent flow cytometry.
Hemoglobin determination is performed using the reliable SLS method and cross-checked via a direct optical method (Ret channel).
Erythrocyte and platelet counting is performed using the impedance method with hydrodynamic focusing, with the option to verify the count via a direct optical method (Ret channel).
Metrological traceability of measurement results for patient samples to reference methods is guaranteed by the manufacturer (ISO 17511).
Sysmex control materials are certified for all parameters specified for XN-L analyzers (XN-L CHECK), including cytological analysis of body fluids (XN-L CHECK BF).

Addressing a wide range of tasks
Pediatrics and neonatology: small blood sample volume required for analysis (25 µL), with the capability for direct counting of immature granulocytes (IG) and antibody-producing cells (HFLC) in every analysis. Flagging and enumeration of nucleated red blood cells (NRBC) are also available.
Dialysis Unit: Assessment of Reticulocyte Hemoglobin (RET-He) for Monitoring EPO Therapy, and Capability for Peritoneal Dialysis Fluid Analysis
Neurology: Availability of rapid and standardized cerebrospinal fluid cytological analysis results, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Oncology: Accurate analysis of leukopenic samples (L-WBC mode) helps provide a true picture of neutrophil counts during chemotherapy.
Diagnosis of purulent-septic and inflammatory processes: the XN-L and XN series analyzers are the only instruments that provide the clinician with the absolute and relative counts of immature neutrophils (IG—the total count of metamyelocytes, promyelocytes, and myelocytes). The clinical utility of this parameter has been proven for the diagnosis and monitoring of septic conditions.
Diagnosis and assessment of treatment efficacy for iron deficiency: the reticulocyte hemoglobin content (Ret-He) parameter is an accurate marker of iron deficiency that is independent of inflammation. The Delta-He index (the difference between the hemoglobin concentration in a reticulocyte and an erythrocyte) serves as an early marker of the efficacy of iron deficiency therapy.
Assessment of erythropoiesis efficiency: the IRF (immature reticulocyte fraction) parameter allows for the evaluation of erythropoietic activity.

Configurations
The following features can be added to the basic configuration of any model in the XN-L series of analyzers:
450 x 460 x 510 mm / 35 kg
The basic configuration includes the capability for a complete blood count (CBC) with a 6-part white blood cell differential (a total of 40 parameters). In this basic configuration, the analyzer has a throughput of 60 samples per hour.
1. Reticulocyte analysis function (XN-L RET licence) — counting and analysis of reticulocytes, red blood cells, and platelets (19 parameters in total)
2. Cytological analysis function for body fluids (cerebrospinal fluid, effusions, synovial fluid, etc.) — XN-L BF licence (18 parameters in total)
3. Leukopenic sample analysis function (XN-L L-WBC licence) — improves the accuracy of white blood cell (WBC) counts and differential analysis in samples with a low WBC count (less than 1 × 10⁹/L)
4. "Aged" sample identification and analysis function (AGED SAMPLE IDENTIFIER) — designed for analyzing samples that cannot be processed within 8 hours of collection
5. Throughput enhancement function (XN-L Speed-up licence) — reduces the analysis time per sample and increases throughput to up to 70 samples per hour
